about
Demo recorded in 2002. Later recorded by Pedro the Lion and released on Pedro the Lion's Achilles Heel (2004)
lyrics
Roll me over, I wanna wave at the kids
Can't say I prescribe cuz I don't know what it is
I'm down at the track, I'm just calling to check in
If you start without me, say my name as you begin
It's not like it wasn't all for you
But like everything I do, it's misunderstood
Take a message, I'm on my way out of town
But the wording's important, so make sure you write it down
There's money behind every picture in the place
Sincerely, your husband on my way to the next race
It's not like it wasn't all for you
But like everything I do, it's misunderstood
If it's once, I've got it
If it's twice, I don't

Another great record from Pedro the Lion. I'm from Arizona, so these past 2 albums have be re-shaping my boyhood memories, attaching to locations like glue. RYNO // 라이노

Huge Bazan/Pedro the Lion fan. All four Bazan tracks are solid. "My Body" is one of the best songs he's ever written. The Sean Lane tracks are pretty cool too. Jason S.
The Massachusetts band's eighth album offers a punchy, garage rock-inspired take on classic Americana that's rugged and infectious. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 5, 2023
Their name is misleading: Nebraska group Uh Oh deliver delightfully raucous, guitar-driven rock & roll with rootsy hooks for days. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 4, 2021

David killed me with this cover. I can feel the desperation in the lyrics, specially when he says f-ing out of sight. I was sitting in a parking lot looking at all of this horrible gargantuan SUVs thinking how I will not survive the mass extinction event. I started crying. anyway, One of the best voices here, and the production is awesome. I love the emptiness of the drums, hope you continue to explore this sonic pallette. fergler
